Abstract

A program package is presented for routine analysis, on a low cost minicomputer, of data obtained by flow microfluorimetry. The programs, with the aid of a graphics capability, provide calculations of various properties of cell populations: percentage of cells in various phases of the cell-cycle (G 1, S, G 2 + M); mean fluorescence per cell; mean narrow-angle scatter per cell, and an approximation to relative mean volume per cell from narrow-angle light scatter measurements. The system is designed to allow either direct analysis or for storage of raw data on tape files for analysis at a later time. Provision is also made for hard copy on a digital x-y plotter.
