Abstract
Comparison is made from the viewpoint of relativity between the flux cutting process and the rotationally shearing fluxoid motion in a superconducting disk in a rotating parallel magnetic field. Two cases are treated: rotation of the external field and counterwise rotation of a superconducting disk in the stationary field. A remarkable discrepancy between two cases appears in the pin-free limit for the flux cutting process. The lack of the relativity is considered as serious defect in the flux cutting model.
