Abstract
This short note presents the chemical preparation and recording of the fluorescence spectra of a new series of Tb 3+-doped (La, Gd)OF, (La, Gd)OCl, (La, Y)OF and (La, Y)OCl powder phosphors. These phosphors have displayed green colour emission when irradiated with UV light. The measured fluorescence levels have been characterized by determining their stimulated emission cross-sections.
