Abstract
Secondorder Ornstein–Zernike integral equations in conjunction with the Lovett–Mou–Buff–Wertheim equation for the density profile are used to investigate a mixture of hard spheres in contact with a semipermeable membrane of spherical symmetry. Theoretical predictions are compared with grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations for several parameters, and reasonable agreement has been found. The pair functions for the systems considered are also determined and discussed.
