Abstract
Angiosperms are plants which have covered fruits as compared to gymnosperms. Today these plants dominate the world in the aquatic, terrestrial as well as in aerial environment. Flora of any area determines types of vegetation over there, in addition, types of the animals in the area which constitute the ecosystem over there. In the community analysis of any area many kinds of the measurement are taken as parameters. In assessment of the angiosperm weeds, we take in to the consideration the vegetation of the area. A number of attempts have been done for the assessment of the vegetation in many areas in all over the India; however, in this research work we are trying to work on the weeds of the Banasthali Vidyapith campus. Assessment of angiosperm weeds of the Banasthali Vidyapith campus was done; a total of 120 genera and 50 families were identified; of these, about 105 dicots (Magnoliopsida) were identified, about 15 genera were identified as monocots; seven families and Leguminosae was the largest family which was identified in the campus; it is represented by the about 20 genera, Gramineae was the largest family which was identified in the campus, in rainy season a number of the large giant genera of the grasses can be identified, 45 plants were documented as a medicinal plant and their use as a medicinal plant in the adjoining areas. Many of the tribes use these plants for the treatment of many diseases. This research is helpful for ethnobotanists, botanists, and pharmacologists
