Abstract
Semantic Web services conjugate the leading role of the Web services which promise interoperability between heterogeneous applications with the semantics, needful for im- proving the understandability of the web content. Semantic Web services add semantic descriptions to the advertised func- tionalities in order to promote automated discovery, invocation and composition of web services. Web service applications in GIS domain require semantic-based approaches too; so new challenges have been arising in Semantic Web Services for modeling complex geospatial data structure and geoprocessing functions. This work achieves a framework for matchmaking of semantic geospatial web services, in an agent-based environment. The goal is to improve the efficiency of discovery of web services. In order to reach this objective, we exploit the fuzzy multiset as suitable mathematical model for representing the multi-granular information, associated to a web service description.
