Abstract

Molar responses, relative to CH2 = 100, were determined for methyl esters of some Krebs cycle and related acids. These experimentally determined values agreed well with responses predicted from general structural considerations. Comparison with data from another laboratory suggested that an apparent discrepancy was due to an anomalously low response for the internal hydrocarbon standard, and the ester responses were in fact comparable.
