Abstract

ABSTRACT Five new species of mites are described from Australia, in the subgenera Hypoaspis (Gaeolaelaps) and Hypoaspis (Cosmolaelaps) (Laelapidae). These mites were found in association with large burrowing cockroaches (Blaberidae). A key to the species of Laelapidae associated with cockroaches in Australia is provided.
