Five New Records of Raphignathoid Mites (Acari: Raphignathoidea) from Poland/ Pięć Nowych Gatunków Roztoczy Z Nadrodziny Raphignathoidea (Acari) Stwierdzonych W Faunie Polski
Abstract Five raphignathoid (Acari: Raphignathoidea) mite species, including three of family Stigmaeidae, Eustigmaeus rhodomela (KOCH), Mediolata obtecta DÖNEL and DOĞAN, Stigmaeus glabrisetus SUMMERS, one of Cryptognathidae, Favognathus cucurbita (BERLESE), and one of Barbutiidae, Barbutia anguineus (BERLESE), are recorded as new for the Polish fauna. This is the first report of the family Barbutiidae from Poland.

During investigation in river Krąpiel valley 7 water mite species new to Polish fauna (Arrenurus falciger,Bandakia concreta, Eylais degenerata, Hydrachna juncta, Lebertia longiseta,Lebertia (Mixolebertia) sinuata,Rutripalpus limicoa) and 29 rare species were recorded.

During a two-year study on mites of the order Mesostigmata in broadleaved forest stands dominated by small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata Mill.), 117 mite species were identified. Among them, 3 had been so far rarely recorded in Poland (Haemogamasus nidi, Stylochirus rovenensis and Eugamasus crassitarsis) and 2 were classified as new to the Polish fauna (Veigaia sibirica and Digamasellus perpusillus).
