Abstract

ABSTRACT The family Acarophenacidae Cross and the genus Adactylidium Cross (Prostigmata: Pyemotoidea) are reported for the first time from Saudi Arabia with a new species, A. gigantothripsi sp. nov. described based on females. The mites were collected from the abdomen of the thrips, Gigantothrips sp. (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) which were abundantly found on the leaves of Ficus plants in Baha, Saudi Arabia.
