Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Mohima Mukherjee is first author on ‘Endoplasmic reticulum stress impedes regulated secretion by governing key exocytotic and granulogenic molecular switches’, published in JCS. Mohima is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Bhavani Shankar Sahu at the National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, India, investigating the molecular mechanisms of regulated secretion involving dense core vesicles and synaptic vesicles in neurons and neuroendocrine cells.
