Abstract

Financial Support: Conclusions: The Medicinal Plants Monography edited by The World Health Organization, contraindicated the use of two of the five medicinal plants described above during pregnancy (Rhamnus purshiana and Ginkgo biloba), and for two of the remaining plants (Passiflora alata and Centella asiatica) states that there are no information available concerning teratogenic or non-teratogenic effects on pregnancy. Concerning to Cassia angustifolia, we were unable to find any information. This database of common herbal products used by pregnant women is, therefore, of great importance to provide appropriate information for doctors and patients in this country.
