Abstract

The stud connection is the main connection methods of concrete and steel in the composite structure. There are fewer study on the stud connector for steel self-compacting concrete with machine-made sand. Considering different concrete strengths and stud diameters, 28 finite element models of stud connector for steel self-compacting concrete with machine-made sand are designed, and the shear performance of stud connector are analyzed under different influencing factors by using Abaqus finite element software and the stress-strain curve of machine-made sand self-compacting concrete. It is found that the diameter affects the ultimate bearing capacity of the connector more than the concrete strength, and the strength of the self-compacting concrete has a small effect on the stiffness of the connector. While the diameter of the stud is larger than 19 mm, the concrete strength influences the ultimate bearing capacity of the model obviously.
