Abstract
The physicochemical regularities of copper-smelting fine dusts two-stage leaching with different composition have been studied. The first stage of leaching was carried out under atmospheric conditions. The effect of temperature (20–60 °C) and acidity (8–26 g/dm3) of the solution on arsenic, zinc and copper extraction has been established. Sulfates, copper, zinc and arsenic (III) oxides dissolved, lead completely transformed into a sulfate form at atmospheric sulfuric acid leaching of fine dusts. Sulfides, ferrites of copper and zinc, completely remained in the cake. Extraction was up to 95% for arsenic, 45% for copper, 90% for zinc. The purpose of autoclave leaching was to extract copper and zinc into the solution maximally and to obtain a lead cake suitable for further processing. The dependences of copper and zinc extractions on the initial concentration of the acid (40–150 g/dm3), temperature (60–180 °C) have been studied. Pressure leaching of cakes after atmospheric leaching is accompanied by complete disintegration of sulfides, copper and zinc ferrites. The total extraction into the solution during the atmospheric and autoclave stages had reached following values, %: 98 As, 94 Cu, 97 Zn.
