Abstract

This study explores financial social learning opportunities among university students, comparing survey data from Turkey(Ankara; N = 3983) with data from a similar study conducted in the United States (Florida; N = 3320). Mean comparison analysis of pooled data confirmed persistent, country and gender differences. Students inFlorida, especially male, reported more frequently financial social learning opportunities compared to Turkish students. Turkish student who were female reported more social learning opportunities than Turkish male, on the other hand, male students inFlorida reported more social learning opportunities than female students inFlorida.
