Abstract

Following the hypothesis that card games can effectively influence subjects of interest, this paper developed a RiskTole Go card game. The card game is to enhance financial literacy skills as a pedagogical tool. The purpose of this study is to develop RiskTole Go card game in promoting the development of financial literacy skills among the youngest learners as an educational tool. A qualitative in-depth interview with six financial planning practitioner and four parents, to obtain the aspects needed among the youngest generation related to financial literacy. The study finding revealed the domain aspects needed for the card game development are cash management such as budgeting, savings, and expenses. Besides, risk management, and basic investment also needed imbedded in the card game. In addition, the participants suggested to relate financial literacy aspects corresponding to life-cycle of young generations, enable the learners relate to their current life-style. The findings study could assist future researchers planning to develop of card games related to financial literacy. This study also contributes to both academic and practitioner in delivering financial literacy skill to the youngest generation.
