Abstract
The linewidth of the LiF core-valence-(F-center) Auger transition — when compared with that of the valence band photoemission and with those of the core-valence-valence Auger transitions — indicates a delocalized, apparently “band-like”, final state. This is accounted for in terms of various estimates of the final-state correlation energy.
