Abstract

The electrical equipment operating near the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) tokamak building will be affected by stray magnetic field up to 200 mT induced by the ITER tokamak coils, so the Static Magnetic Field (SMF) test facility will be built to study and evaluate the electromagnetic compatibility for any type of component qualification used in the ITER tokamak device. This paper describes the final design of the SMF test facility for Equipment Under Test (EUT) of component qualification, including the design of the magnet coil, EUT Handling System (EHS), power supply system, water cooling system and the control and acquisition system. At the same time, great deal of simulations and analyses of the power supply system, magnet coil and EHS system have been presented and discussed in detail. The final overall scheme can meets the requirements of SMF test facility of ITER site under the maximum test magnetic field of 275 mT and the test volume of 1.0 m × 1.0 m × 1.0 m.
