Abstract

Perenial philosophy can be interpreted as a philosophy about the value and the essence of an eternal truth or about immortality itself. Perennial philosophy shows the value of divine value in human life. The divine value provides a variety of sociological and psychological impacts to determine the actual pattern of action, nature, and purpose of life for humans. Perennial philosophy in the context of religious life seeks to find the common ground of different understandings so that there is a common platform that shows that diversity is necessary and precisely gives meaning to unity and togetherness. Perennial philosophy using mysticism is seen to explain the essential issues concerning the necessary wisdom in living the righteous life, which is the essence of all religious teachings and human traditions. The teachings of Hinduism view that however the path taken by man in the effort to worship God Almighty is valid, as long as it is not contrary to the values of humanity itself.
