Abstract

ABSTRACT This essay describes the author’s loss of his mother in 2008, and the ways in which one may struggle with the grieving process. The author remembers his Mom in life and in death, demonstrating the unique experience of his Filipino family but also affirming the universal human feelings of grief, depression, and anger when mourning a loved one.
