Abstract

What is the role of learning and nutrition rehabilitation homes in the fight against malnutrition? This research question is accompanied by the hypothesis that the consumption of local foods can reduce the prevalence of malnutrition in the department of Tillaberi. The objective of this study is to show the importance of traditional recipes in the diet of moderate acute malnourished children. The study was conducted in eight villages in the department of Tillaberi during the period from January 29 to February 12, 2018. The results obtained show that of the 42 malnourished children, 78.57% were quickly recovered. The study was carried out through the activities of the NGO SRMSR DIMOL carried out in the different villages of the target area. We also developed fact sheets to concretely carry out the investigation, enriched by a bibliographic search.
