Abstract
This article describes field instruction in a midwestern pediatric tertiary care hospital, whose goals are clinical and educational. The field instruction program reflects the hospital's vision standards and clinical focus.The approach includes specialization, combined educational and clinical instruction and practice that focuses on the synergistic relationship between health related issues and learning experiences.
