Abstract

According to the requirements for wide field of view and high resolution in wind imaging detection, the principle of a novel field extended birefringent wind imaging interferometer is proposed. Based on the principle of birefringent polarization wind imaging interferometer, the new optical system scheme of the field extended birefringent static Doppler wind imaging interferometer is designed, which overcomes the limitation of the field of view in the original birefringent polarization wind imaging interferometer. Compared with the original scheme, the new scheme eliminates the cross-field phase change between the top and bottom fields, and the available field of view of the instrument is no longer limited. The Jones matrix model are used to simulate to prove the correctness of the principal scheme of the field extended birefringent wind imaging interferometer.
