Abstract

Abstract In field-scale and small-plot trials conducted during 1972–73 green peach-potato aphid was not controlled by excessive rates of oxydemeton-methyl, demeton-S-methyl, parathion-methyl, omethoate, propoxur, and quinalphos. Endosulfan, methomyl, and dichlorvos also gave inadequate control. It is concluded that resistance is implicated in the failure of these insecticides. Acephate, BAY 6437, and methamidophos gave adequate control.
