Abstract

Formulations of aldicarb on charcoal and on corn cob grits were equally effective in controlling the cotton fleahopper, Pseudatomoscelis seriatus (Reuter); the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover; and thrips in a field test. The charcoal formulation of aldicarb was less damaging to plant stands and had less adverse effect than the corn cob formulations on beneficial insects.
