The purpose of this study was to identify any specific periods of fetal or infant growth that correlated with respiratory morbidity. This study was part of a population-based, prospective cohort study (generation-R study) done in Rotterdam, Netherlands. A total of 5635 children were managed from fetal life through age 10 for the analyses done. Gestational age was determined via ultrasound during the first trimester.
