Abstract

Fermilab experiment E760 was dedicated to the study of charmonium spectroscopy by the resonant formation of charmonium states in pp annihilations. Charmonium resonances were formed in the collision of a stochastically cooled antiproton beam in the Fermilab Antiproton Accumulator with an internal hydrogen gas jet target. Several charmonium measurements from E760 are described and compared to previous results. The upgrade experiment of E760, Fermilab E835, is described, and its physics goals outlined.
