Abstract

We study Fermi surface (FS) splittings in the multilayered cuprates by the multilayered t–t′–t″–J model within the uniform-resonant-valence-bond mean-field theory. Renormalization of interlayer hopping, t⊥, by the electron–electron interaction in the CuO2 plane is included in the Gutzwiller approximation. Charge imbalance splits the FS in the nodal direction, and gives some different amplitudes of t⊥. On the other hand, in the antinodal direction, a small value of t⊥ between inner-planes makes four separated FS’s into two degenerated FS’s. Such variations of the FS splittings will be observed in the angle-resolved-photoemission spectroscopy measurement.
