Abstract
Intramedullary nailing is familiar to all orthopedic surgeons for treatment of long bone fractures. Removal of conventional intramedullary nails can be challenging in and of themselves. This case report describes difficulties encountered during extraction of an expandable intramedullary nail designed for use in fixation of long bones.
