Feminist Fictional Utopias

Abstract

Although the definition of. the feminist utopia is uncertain to say the least, scholars are busy discussing, writing articles about and teaching the subject. Academic libraries at institutions with women's studies programs therefore should start collecting in this field, especially the titles which are likely to be in the greatest demand. The present starter set lists titles of feminist utopias most often discussed in the criticism, bibliographies where other titles may be found, and book-length treaties and essay collections devoted to the study of feminist utopias, with a brief list of journals where articles on feminist utopias may be found and indexes which provide access to them.
