Abstract

A study was conducted in the Chambal region of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, which is a native tract of Jamunapari goats. A total of 120 respondents rearing Jamunapari goats were randomly selected from Chakarnagar block (Etawah). All the respondents were mostly following browsing system for rearing of goats with partial stall feeding. Among the tree leaves reonja and neem were the main leaves for feeding of goats. The study revealed that overall average adoption score of scientific feeding practices was 7.70 (ranged from 7 to 9) which indicated that the respondents has low adoption of scientific feeding practices.
