Abstract

1. 1. Oral flavomycin, quindoxin, arsanilic acid, or copper sulphate for 14 days at various dosages sometimes caused changes in feed and water intake and in body-weight in growing mice. 2. 2. Depending on the supplementary diet, in vitro intestinal adsorption of D-glucose sometimes increased or decreased. Serosal fluid transfer or tissue fluid uptake remained unchanged. Although the fresh intestinal weight decreased slightly, the histology appeared normal. 3. 3. There was no relationship between intestinal absorption and body-weight changes.
