Abstract

The article considers regional peculiarities of nominations in the field of ergonyms of flower stores on the example of names of the city of Yaroslavl and the city of Brno, Czech Republic. The tendencies of recent years in urban onomastics, as well as approaches to the classification of ergonyms are investigated. Semantic classification allowed us to identify groups and subgroups of ergonyms coinciding in the two cities, as well as to identify unique semantic groups for the city of Yaroslavl. Structural classification of the studied ergonyms showed that real ergonyms reflecting the location of the company and/or the nature of its activity prevail. Functional classification allowed us to determine that the majority of ergonyms of flower stores both in Russia and in the Czech Republic fulfill an advertising and informative function. Most Czech ergonyms belong to the group with a low degree of need for a nomenclatural term, while Yaroslavl nominatives need a nomenclatural term to a medium or high degree. It was concluded that the majority of flower store names in both cities are written in the native language of the country and are word combinations. As a result of the study, similarities and differences of onyms of different countries were identified and descriptions of typical ergonyms of both cities were compiled.
