Abstract

The purpose of the study was to clarify the views of the authors on the importance of motivation for physical exercises in the conditions of martial law, which are characterized by a sense of the danger of a person's existence, the risk of participating in educational activities during air raids, power outages, lack of communication. The authors identified aspects of the relevance of predicting motivational characteristics for physical exercises, studying their influence on the specifics of exercises in extreme conditions, and the use of these exercises as psychological regulation in moments of danger and risk.
 The results of empirical research (surveys, questionnaires) were considered in retrospect of the change in the dominant motives for physical exercises as a result of the social impact of the extremity of the military state.
 The novelty of the study should be considered the views proposed by the authors on the influence of social factors of extreme life activity in the conditions of martial law on the features of the formation of motives for physical exercises and the prediction of such features in the educational process.
 The conclusions point to the understanding of the contents defined by the topic, emphasize views on the formation of motives for physical exercises under the influence of social factors, conditions of extreme situations of the military state, states of understanding the danger and risk of existence and the emergence on this basis of internal needs and interest as the internal side of the motive for mastering the basics of self-defense.
