Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying the linguistic features of the numerals used by R. Senchin in the texts of the non-fiction genre, the representative of which he is. The content of this term and the composition of non-fiction texts (memoirs, biography, documentary novel) are discussed. The material for the study was the stories «The First Girl», «Athenian Nights», «For the Meeting», «One More Night», «To My Husband», «Ijim», «Approaching Twilight», "Sugar Spoon" and the novel «One Plus One». In the process of work the contrastive-comparative and quantitative-statistical methods were used. In the analyzed texts the functions of numerals were identified, their contextual meanings were determined. It is concluded that the numerals in the documentary prose of R. Senchin do not always have a specific quantitative content, but actively participate in the realization of the author's idea, give expressiveness to the text, have significant pragmatic potential.
