Abstract
The article discusses the role of color in the complex organization of the architectural environment. The author studies the specifics of the formation of the color character of the historical part of the urban environment, analyzes the significance of the main factors influencing the adoption of design decisions on the color organization of the environment using the example of Bishkek, provides an analysis of the basic components of the environment that forms its functional content in various "layers" of the structure of the urban environment.
