Abstract

SrTiO3 and biphasic SrTiO3–TiO2 ceramics were obtained by reactive spark plasma sintering (SPS) of mixtures of strontium carbonate SrCO3 and titanium dioxide TiO2. For monophasic SrTiO3, there is a linear seal of the mixture in the heating process. Biphasic ceramics at a temperature of about 1320°C are characterized by eutectic melting of the SrTiO3–TiO2 mixture, which allowed estimating the temperature gradient in the system ∼77°/sm. Microstructural studies have confirmed the formation of biphasic SrTiO3–TiO2 ceramics with a homogeneous structure and a grain size of 1÷2 μm.
