Abstract

Abstract The main objective is the study of plastic deformation and destruction of the supporting plates in the design of the clip under compression. The 316L stainless steel powder for laser sintering was manufactured by HERMIGA 75/IV unit using melt spraying On the EOSINT M270 unit, with a laser power of 200 W and a scanning speed of 800 mm/s, a series of clips was made using the direct metal laser-sintering (DMLS) of powder. The tests revealed a mechanical response of the metal plate, which is characteristic for materials with an auxetic property. The “load-displacement” diagrams were drawn. The nature of the response is established. It was determined that the change in direction of the load at the moment of loss of mechanical stability, when plastic compression becomes tensile, is the main cause of this behavior.
