Abstract
Using the paradigm of the feminist standpoint theory, this paper explores the perceptions of women in leadership in Higher Education about the need for the development of institutional structures to support them in leadership positions. Three open-ended questions were sent via e-mail to the respondents, who were purposefully selected as a convenient sample. The responses were analysed using a qualitative research design of thematic analysis. Provide research methodology. These findings provide recommendations with regard to the strategies proposed by women in leadership positions as to the ways in which Higher Education institutions may 'feather the nest' for women in leadership positions.
