Abstract

A bidimensional pixel processor based on contiguity ideas has been designed. This processor, using data coming from a telescope of microstrip detectors, should allow the selection of events with evidence of secondary vertices in about 10 μs. The algorithm, tested on experimental data, has shown a rejection factor of 200 still keeping a large fraction ( > 50%) of heavy-quark events.
