Abstract

This paper describes a super-fast power transfer switch that provides improvement in power supply system performance achieved by uninterruptible connection to the second commercial source in case of failure of the first commercial power source. It outlines the various details of circuit development of the proposed transfer switch and the main factors in its operation under various conditions. It concludes that the use of fast electronic transfer switch in power systems is a cost effect method for a substantial improvement in performance of uninterruptible power supply systems.
