Abstract
• The tilt aberration detection principle changes from the measurement of the spot position change on the detector to the measurement of the energy change received by the detector. • By using the linear relationship between the change rate of light intensity and the tilt angle, the tilt aberration can be obtained quickly. • This method does not need to consider the size of the receiving spot, and can obtain a very concentrated optical signal on the focal plane, so the signal-to-noise ratio is high. • Using CCD or avalanche diode as the receiver, weak light detection can be realized. The tilt aberration will greatly reduce the quality of astronomical observation. The traditional tilt measurement method mainly uses the four quadrant detection method. The accuracy of this method is greatly affected by the signal-to-noise ratio. When the light is weak, the measurement effect is not ideal. In this paper, a method based on optical block method is proposed to measure the tilt angle by using the linear relationship between the change rate of receiver light intensity and the tilt angle. Compared with the traditional tilt measurement method, the calculation is less and the tilt angle can be measured more quickly. Because proposed method only needs a detector on the focal plane to take the tilt measurement in a single direction, and there is no requirement for the spot size, so this method has high utilization of light energy and can realize weak light tilt detection.
