Abstract

In order to realize the active arc suppression of the single-phase ground fault of the non-effective grounding system and reduce electricity risk, a fast disposal method for reducing the risk of electric shock of single-phase ground fault was proposed. When a single-phase ground fault occurred, the fault point was first located by the traveling wave positioning technology, and the voltage drop between the fault point and the power bus was calculated. The fault phase voltage was suppressed to zero through injecting current to control zero sequence voltage, which achieved full compensation of fault current and realized the purpose of arc suppression. The simulation results showed that the method was not affected by fault resistance, can quickly suppress the fault phase voltage, realize the full compensation of the ground fault point current of the distribution system, and effectively improve the safety level of the personal and equipment.
