Farms and Their Role in Economic Development

Abstract

The article discusses the essence of the peasant and farm economy, the stages of development and the differences between them. The purpose of the farms is mentioned - to bring products to market. It is also noted that the Department of Statistics should pay more attention to the issue of keeping farm records. The main attention is paid to the deepening of peasant farming and the creation of large farms based on concentration, which should take into account the experience of advanced developed countries. Moreover, it is also noted that the achievement of this goal is impossible without the support and assistance of the state. The proposals are being made to create classical cooperatives and farms in Georgia, to pay more attention to justifying priorities in the economy, in particular, to the development of areas in which capital investments will quickly give effect. On the basis of the analysis carried out at the end of the work, conclusions and proposals are given. Keywords: Farming, peasant farming, agriculture, farm.
