Abstract
Faraday rotation was observed for EuS and EuSe under megagauss magnetic fields. From the temperature dependence of the Verdet constant and the non-linear field dependence of the Faraday rotation, it turned out that the Faraday rotations in those substances are almost proportional to the magnetization.
