Abstract

Faraday has chosen the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft as its prime partner from outside the United Kingdom. In 2002, Harald Egner became the first Fraunhofer representative to serve on the management board of the Faraday Partnership PRIME, an acronym for “Products with interdependent mechanical and electronic parts” also known as mechatronics. Participants in the PRIME partnership include the University of Nottingham, Loughborough University R&D consultants PERA, major industrial firms, and small and medium-sized enterprises. Members of the management board meet twice a year to discuss trends in technology, core research activities and projects. This is a short news story only.
