Abstract
Additional faint diagram and non-diagram lines in the $L\ensuremath{\gamma}$ region of the x-ray spectra of the elements 73 Ta to 83 Bi are reported. The majority are diagram lines obeying the dipole or quadrupole selection rules. A few have $\frac{\ensuremath{\nu}}{R}$ values close to transitions prohibited by any multipole radiation theory. Three new non-diagram lines (satellites) associated with $L{\ensuremath{\gamma}}_{1}$ and $L{\ensuremath{\gamma}}_{2}$ have been observed. Measurements of the close pair Pb $L{\ensuremath{\beta}}_{1}$ and Pb $L{\ensuremath{\beta}}_{2}$ and of the strong lines of osmium in the $L\ensuremath{\beta}$ and $L\ensuremath{\gamma}$ regions are also given.
