Abstract

This article discusses the issues dedicated to the causes and consequences of the growing demographic crisis in the Far East, in particular in the Kamchatka Territory. Particular attention is paid to the migration of young people from the region. A statistical analysis of the dynamics of migration and some socio-economic parameters affecting the quality of life of the population is carried out. Based on the results obtained, the need for a study to identify the subjective views of young people on the urban environment is revealed. The key aspects of the need to study the causes of the outflow of youth from the region and hypothetical methods for solving the problem are identified
