Abstract
One of the main problems connected with energy supply reliability is the efficient functioningof distribution grids. This paper discusses major elements of a medium voltageelectric grid. It also presents cases of its failure as well as their outcomes and influenceon energy consumers. This paper contains an analysis of the causes of distribution gridfailure based on the available source materials and its consequences consumers as wellas energy security of countries.
