Abstract
Objective To examine the factorial structure of the Chinese version of the alexithymia questionnaire for children in a sample of Chinese adolescents. Methods The Chinese version of the alexithymia questionnaire for children was completed by 1290 Chinese adolescents. Confirmatory factor analyses were employed to obtain a final solution. Results The results of confirmatory factor analyses (χ2/ df = 1.857,GFI=0.949,IFI=0.919,CFI=0.918,NNFI=0.901, RMSEA=0.038) indicated that the standard 3-factor model provide a reasonable good fit for Chinese adolescents. Conclusion Compared with the other four factor models,the standard 3-factor model of the alexithymia questionnaire for children fit the data of chinese adolescents best.
